Friends were extremely generous in giving to provide closets for the boarding school in Glussk. We’ll have some extra funds to meet the most pressing needs when I return to Belarus in early February. Thank you to all who gave with such compassion.
Of course gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law, so there can be an advantage to giving. But the real reason to give, I think, is because some are simply too weak, too broken, too helpless to fend for themselves. And the way human beings are designed, it just feels right to reach out and help.
So I thank you again if you’re one who gave this past year. It’s a privilege to share your love in the former Soviet Union.
