Whose shoes?

Kids grow up. Orphans are kids.
Friends of New Thing have been helping the orphans at Children’s Village for 10 full years.
Our dear friend Oleg Yarovenko took this photo at the orphanage long ago.
Which of this year’s graduating orphans left their shoes here that day?
Today, they’re on the verge of becoming young adults.Â
Before they leave home, we hope to give each one a Life Starter Kit:
Blanket, pillow, towels, linens, dishes, electric kettle, saucepan, frying pan, table lamp, iron, more
...and a laptop with student software and basic accessories for those headed to university.
Avg. cost per kit: $498. Total need: $6972.
As I write, 10 generous households have given a total of $2079.53. Thank you!
If you’d like to help equip 14 orphans for life beyond the orphanage, I’ll be grateful.
They will too. So will their house-parents, who have devoted their lives to these kids.
But whether you’re able to give or not, thanks for journeying with New Thing!
More adventures to come!

Much love,
Doug Brendel
