When he heard she died, a longtime supporter of New Thing said,
“Liudmila Kozovaya is the loveliest person I never met.”
I think many folks feel this way.
Several gave this past week — a total of $1812.37 — to honor her legacy with a permanent memorial in her home village in Belarus, and an ongoing Kozovaya Fund to meet the most pressing needs of Belarusian men, women, and children.
I’m grateful for each gift.
The memorial will be beautiful — but the Kozovaya Fund will be life-changing, maybe even life-saving, for many across Belarus in the years to come.
It’s so important, a few friends have stepped up spontaneously to offer an amazing matching challenge:
