One more orphan

This just in from Belarus:

Ilya and his mom didn’t have a home — they lived in a dorm provided by the company where she worked.

She died in February.

Ilya, 17, was evicted.

Ilya has no other relatives. He came to the Children’s Village in Kobryn.

Already helping with chores — loves to cook — he’ll actually study to be a chef.

He’ll be a freshman at the Trade & Technology College near the Polish border this September.

But...

Ilya arrived too late to receive a Life Starter Kit.

It will cost $570 for the blanket, sheets, pillow, pillowcases, bedding, towels, electric kettle, kitchenware, iron, table lamp, laptop, and computer supplies.

Maybe 10 friends of New Thing could give $57 each for Ilya.

Or if you could be one of five to give $114, terrific.

And of course if the goal is exceeded, every penny you donate will still go entirely into Belarus.

God bless all who give to help people in need, through the work of our “Response of the Heart” team.

Thanks for journeying with New Thing!

Much love,

Doug Brendel
