If you need a neurosurgeon...

Hello!

I thought you might like to meet another of the orphans who will graduate this spring, aging out of the Belarus orphanage system.

Ilya, 17, came to the Children’s Village in Kobryn at the age of 5.

Soon he was an avid reader — he even devoured encyclopedias! — and he became a star student in school.

At 12 he fell in love with biology, then chemistry ... and now he’s preparing to enter med school.

His dream: to become a neurosurgeon!

We hope to provide a Life Starter Kit for Ilya and each of the other 15 Children’s Village graduates before they head off to university.

Ilya’s Kit will include bedding, towels, an iron, dishes, a laptop with a bag, mouse, flash drive, and a package of printing paper.

(Average Kit cost: $642.50. Anyone who’d like to help can donate online here, or mail a check to New Thing, 403 Linebrook Rd., Ipswich MA 01938.)

Thanks for journeying with New Thing!

Much love,

Doug Brendel
