Where were you 10 years ago today?

She was sick.

She was in the hospital in Ushachi, Belarus, near the Russian border.

(No hospital gowns there. You wear your own clothes.)

She was surprised a stranger would take her hand.

But yeah, I did.

This photo was taken almost exactly 10 years ago.

She must be quite the young lady today!

Over the years, friends of New Thing gave generously to build a children’s playroom in this hospital.

And provided a microwave so mothers of newborns could heat bottles.

And funded major remodeling in major parts of the very old facility.

And more.

Love lasts.

Not the “feeling” type of love.

The “action” type of love.

You’re offering help and hope to children and adults, families and individuals, young and old.

Thanks for journeying with New Thing.

More adventures to come!

Much love,

Doug Brendel
