New Year’s greetings!
When I visited the boarding school for children with mental disabilities, in Bogomol, last year, director Valery Petrovich impressed me.
He insists on teaching children real-life skills.
Like we say in the U.S.: Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.
Generous friends of New Thing provided funds for woodworking equipment, and Valery sent these photos of the kids at work.
I thought you’d like to see how they’re learning by doing — and improving the facilities as they do!
Thank you again to all who give so selflessly to New Thing, for the sake of children in need in Belarus.
